My skin philosophy: do less, do it well

I’ve spent my whole career around beauty counters, and the thing I believe most is also the least exciting. Your skin doesn’t need twelve steps. It needs a strong barrier and enough hydration to do its job.

That’s why my sister Kate and I made Cassidy. There are two products. Skin Illume is a hydrating serum with tremella mushroom and niacinamide. Skin Restore is a barrier cream with ceramides, peptides and prebiotics. Both are fragrance-free and gentle enough for sensitive skin, and nothing in them is just there to look good on the label. Add SPF every morning. (I’m still working on that one.)

It’s also how I treat skin in the studio. A peel does the heavy lifting: it brightens, clears and resurfaces. Every treatment then finishes with Skin Restore, because results last longer on skin that’s calm and well looked after.

The studio does the work. Your routine protects it. That’s the whole philosophy.
